Fight For Air Climb Tampa
Saturday, March 26, 2011
Team Foley is 35 strong!
And an awesome team it is!  We may not be the largest team, but we have a good shot at being the fastest!  We come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities but our task for the day is to honor John Foley, climb through our own adversities, and raise some funds for the American Lung Association.  If you care to join us to climb, spectate, or donate please contact me!

Call it Karma...sowing good seeds helps to assure bountiful crops later.
Call it Duty...aiding those less fortunate than ourselve.
Call it whatever you want, but it's nice to know that you can rely on friends!!

This year I want the Scott Rigsby Foundation to know that I've got their back!
Inspire.  Inform.  Enable.
The SRF is dedicated to inspiring, informing, and enabling individuals with physical challenges due to loss of limb or mobility, to  live an active lifestyle.

Read more about Scott, the accident the changed the course of his life, and how he was inspired to take an UNTHINKABLE journey...and be the first double amputee to complete the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.

Mike Dalton, I've Got Your Back!

Mike Dalton, CA, melanoma, donate
In 2007, my brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 3B melanoma. He's had some surgeries to remove all of the cancer...and a little extra. In December 2008 Mike completed a year or Interferon treatment.  He did better than most on the protocol and is hopeful that it will further combat the recurrence of the disease.

It's hard to know what to do for someone when they are going through a tough time. I decided to take 2008 and live my life in complete honor and support of him. Everything I did and planned took on a new purpose and meaning.

In November of 2008 I completed my year by participating in Ironman Florida. Swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles was tough.  Luckily, Mike was there to cross the finish line with me!  When it got ugly, I was reminded that my journey was nothing compared to his!

MIF, donate, donation, skin cancer
Melanoma International Foundation
I had the fundraising goal of $50,000 for the Melanoma International Foundation.  Through the great generosity of friends, family, colleagues, and Janus Financial I was able to raise nearly $20,000.

Therefore, the work is not done!  As we move into 2009 I will continue to help the MIF in whatever way I can.

I am working on aspects of the educational part of the I've Got Your Back campaign.
Designed for massage therapists, coaches, and trainers, the program stresses early detection of skin cancers as well as the need for these professionals to be good role models for their athletes.

I'VE GOT MIKE'S BACK, AND I HAVE YOURS, TOO!
Be a part of the team and have somebody's back!
